Akoestikon Acoustic Studs

Soundproofing walls and ceilings
Noisy neighbours or isolating a music studio? Either way, with the Akoestikon Acoustic Studs you can create a soundproof wall and/or ceiling. This is what we call a floating, decoupled noise insulating wall or ceiling. With the help of the Akoestikon system you can insulate existing walls and ceilings to reduce the entry of impact noise and airborne noise from- or to surrounding rooms, flats or nextdoor neighbours.

How to reduce noise from neighbours
To insulate neighbour noises you need three products from the Akoestikon soundproofing range; Akoestikon Acoustic Studs, 60 or 120 mm, vibration isolating Polypress Strips and Akoestikon Insulation Wool, to fill the cavity. Fix the Polypress strips on the floor, walls and ceiling. Step two is installing the Akoestikon studs, or acoustic rails, to a wall or ceiling. Fill the space with the Akoestikon Insulation Wool and cover this with a double or triple layer of plasterboard. Make sure that the plasterboard doesn't touch the floor, wall or ceiling of your building, hence the Polypress strips. This is of course a very brief discription, but if you need any advice on how to insulate neighbour noises or how to install a soundproofing wall? Just give us a call or send us a message!
