Acoustic Plates for Sound Absorption and Acoustics

What are Acoustic plates?
Acoustic boards can be made of melamine plastics, PU foam, polyester wool or flake foam and are provided with a top layer per application area. The different top layers give the products their specific properties: a top layer can enhance the fire-resistance of the acoustic material or make it oil and moisture-tight or impact-resistant. Products without a top layer usually have a higher absorption value and are used in a clean environment, for example in order to absorb noise from electric motors.

Acoustic plates are used in order to absorb airborne noise in, for example, engine rooms, equipment and machine housings such as pumps, generators and compressors. Acoustic plates can also be used in order to fill absorption panels. In general, the 'basic' variants of Akotherm or Flamex are used for this purpose. To adjust the room acoustics, use 'Acoustic panels'.
