Flamex Basic is a competitively priced sound-absorbing acoustic foam. You can easily mount this product against walls and/or the ceiling in rooms to reduce reverberation and improve rooms acoustics, with our Stauf Mounting Paste. This can be in living rooms and bedrooms, kitchens, halls and stairwells, classrooms, a hairdressing salon or studio. Flamex Basic reduces annoying reverberation and provides a warmer acoustic climate.

How much do I need to improve room acoustics?
According to rule of thumb, mounting acoustic panels to an equivalent of 50% of the floor area of a room achieves good acoustics. In practice, it often appears that a percentage of 25 to 30% can give a sufficient improvement. An example: suppose you have a room with a floor space of 100 m², in this case you need approximately 30 to 40 m² of acoustic panels for a reasonable result. You can add soft surfaces such as curtains, furniture and carpet to this rule of thumb. What it is and does:
Flamex Basic is an acoustic panel made of sound-absorbing acoustic melamine foam. This product reduces the reflections of sound and reverberation. Flamex is resistant to high temperatures and ensures minimal smoke development in the event of a fire.
Applications Flamex acoustic foam
Flamex Basic can be used in homes, such as living rooms and bedrooms, kitchens, halls and stairwells. Flamex acoustic foam has fire class C and can therefore also be used in public spaces, such as a classroom, club or office. Flamex is also an excellent noise insulation in PC/Server cases, ventilation box and to use in a sound maze for a more silent ventilation solution.

- Acoustic foam density: 9.5 kg/m³
- Non adhesive.
- Colour light grey: approximately RAL7047.
- Colour white: approximately RAL9001.
A material tolerance of 5% applies to Flamex products.
Assembly Tips
Flamex Basic panels are easy to cut to size with the sharp knife and easy to install with Stauf adhesive. Spread a few dots of Stauf adhesive from the corners towards the center and spread some dots in the middle of the panel. With sufficient adhesive, the panel will bond directly, no struts or clamps are necessary.
