Flamex Edge is an acoustic foam panel for reducing reverberation in, for example, living room, studio, office or classroom. The panel is provided on one side with a decorative edge of 45° (from base height). Because of the beautiful look & feel, this is an ideal product to attach to walls and ceilings (see product photos).

How much do I need to improve the acoustics?
The general rule is that reducing reverberation will improve the acoustics. This general rule is applicable to spaces such as an office, living room or cafes and restaurants. The rule states that when 30 to 50% of the floor surface is present as an absorption surface, a room has reasonable to good acoustics. This percentage will be higher in rooms where many people (sound sources) are present. As an example:
Suppose you have a room with a floor of 100 m², not much higher than 4 metres, there must be approximately 30 to 50 square metres of absorption surfaces for reasonable to good acoustics. By absorption surfaces we mean soft surfaces such as curtains, furniture and carpet, supplemented with absorption panels or sheets. What it is and does:
Flamex Edge is an acoustic panel made of sound-absorbing melamine foam. The panel is provided with a decorative edge of 45° (from base height) all around. Flamex Edge reduces annoying sound reflections and reverberation in the mid and high frequency range, in other words living voice sounds. It improves the room acoustics by removing the hollow sound.
Applications
Flamex Edge is rated fire class C and is therefore suitable for many applications. Areas of application are in the office, call centre, school room or waiting and consulting room, but also at home in the living room or in a music studio. The panels can be mounted on the ceiling as well as on the wall with our Stauf adhesive. The edge of 45° all around gives the product a beautiful appearance!

Assembly Tips
Flamex Edge panels are easy to install with our Stauf adhesive. Spread a few dots of Stauf adhesive from the corners towards the centre and spread some dots in the middle of the panel. With sufficient adhesive, the panel will adhere directly to the substrate, no struts or clamps are necessary.
