Akotherm Edge
Acoustic Panel with Faceted Edges
Akotherm Edge is a sound-absorbing polyester wool acoustic panel with excellent absorption properties and fire safety. Akotherm is very durable and versatile in use in, for example, a music practice room, community centre, sports canteen and studio acoustics. Akotherm Edge has a visible side with a light textured surface and a 45 degree edges all around the panel.

How much do I need to improve the acoustics?
Coverage from 30% of the floor area will make a noticeable difference. This means that in a room with 100 m² floor area at least 30 m² of absorption surface must be present. Such surfaces can consist of curtains and carpet, supplemented with absorption panels, which are mounted on the wall(s) or the ceiling. What it is and does:
Akotherm Edge is an absorption panel made of sound-absorbing polyester wool with a high density and a slight wave texture on the visible side. The panel is provided with a decorative edge of 45° (from base height) all around. Akotherm Edge reduces annoying sound reflections and reverberation in the mid- and high-frequency range. It improves the room acoustics by removing the hollow sound.
Applications
Akotherm can be mounted to ceilings and walls in a room to improve the acoustics, such as a studio, listening room, office, canteen or living room. The edge all around the panel gives it a nice look & feel.

Assembly Tips
Use Stauf Extreme Tack for fixing Akotherm panels. Spread the Stauf adhesive from the corners towards the centre and spread the adhesive in the middle of the panel. With sufficient adhesive, the panel will bond directly to the substrate, no struts or clamps are necessary.
