Akotherm Basic D40 is a sound-absorbing and thermally insulating polyester wool product with fire class B - s2, d0. You can use Akotherm to reduce echoes and reverberation in a room by mounting the panels to the ceiling or wall. Akotherm is also used in the production of acoustic panels as a filling This variant has an extra high density of 40 kg/m³.

What it is and does:
Akotherm Basic D40 is a flat panel with straight edges and is available in black and white. The available colours of the material are white and black. Akotherm is made of polyester fibres. Contact with the polyester fibres does not pose a risk of allergic reactions, skin irritations or respiratory problems. The material does not generate dust and does not contain chemical binding agents. In addition, it is non-toxic and 100% recyclable. The high pressing ensures that the product does not tend to collapse.
Applications
Akotherm Basic D40 has a versatile field of application due to its high-quality technical properties. Due to its excellent sound-absorbing and thermally insulating properties, it is already widely used in industry and construction, for example as an alternative to glass and rock wool. Akotherm D40 is also extremely suitable for improving the acoustics in ''hard spaces'' such as in offices, classrooms, studios, shops, meeting rooms and nurseries.

Assembly Tips
Use Stauf Extreme Tack glue to mount Akotherm products. You can easily cut Akotherm to size with a sharp knife. Akotherm is mounted with the soft side against the substrate so the light wave texture side becomes the visible side.
