Absorption foam plate
Acousticcell ALU is a sound-absorbing foam made of polyurethane. The panel is provided with an oil, moisture and heat-resistant aluminium top layer. This aluminium top layer is reinforced with an inlaid glassfibre mesh that adds rigidity to the panel. You use Acousticcell ALU near combustion engines, such as in an engine room or engine compartment of a boat, engine compartment of a car or in a generator housing.

What it is and does:
Acousticcell ALU is a product that you use to repel heat and absorb sound. It is made of polyurethane foam. The top layer repels oil, moisture and heat due to the dense and sturdy aluminium top layer. This aluminium foil top layer is reinforced with an inlaid fiberglass mesh that adds rigidity to the panel. Acousticcell can therefore only be used on a flat surface.
Applications
You can use Acousticcell ALU for combustion engines, such as in engine cabinets, generators and engine rooms of boats and yachts and in engine rooms of vehicles. The aluminium top layer has the additional advantage that it reflects light. This is useful in a dark engine room and it looks nice too!

Processing tips
You can easily cut Acousticcell ALU to size with a hobby knife. Before mounting the panels, make sure the surface is clean and free of grease. Tape the seams with Isotape Alu. This prevents sound leakage and the ingress of liquids.
