Vibration isolation
Polypress strips reduce impact noise and vibrations by applying these self-adhisive strips under a floor or wall. In yachts and ships, the strips can be used between the frames and the deck or floor of the cabin. Polypress strips are used for acoustic decoupling and vibration isolation.

What it is and does:
Reduce and isolate vibrations and impact noise. Polypress strips are made of bonded polyurethane flakes, flexible and elastic.
Applications
Polypress strips are used for decoupling floors (between beams and underlayment e.g.). These strips can also be used under light walls to prevent impact noises. In yacht building the Polypress strips are bonded to the rafters (frames) on which the floor or decking rests to decouple the deck or floor from the hull. This will reduce engine noise into the galley, wheelhouse and other quarters.
Properties
Polypress is an acoustic foam made from cutting waste that arises during the manufacture and processing of soft foams. The cutting waste is bound and compressed, resulting in a recycled product. Polypress is compressible and permanently elastic. It also has a good recovery capacity.

Assembly Tips
Polypress strips are easy to cut to size with a sharp knife. Note: the surface on which the Polypress strips are placed must be dry and free of dirt and grease. You can also use our contact-adhisive glue to make the non-adhisive side stick to practical anything.
