Vibradamp A90P

How much do I need for good sound attenuation?
Cover at least 70% of the surface for effectively isolating noise and resonances. Use this product in combination Zincor steel panels to 'sandwich-drumming'. A bucket of Vibradamp A90-P is good for sound-baffling about 3.25 m².

What it is and does:
Vibradamp A90-P is anti-drumming paste and a two-component adhesive in one. With this product, steel sheets can also be bonded to sound-baffling surfaces, whereby Vibradamp A90-P also works as a two-component adhesive. The end result can be compared to holding a gong while you tap it, a dull sound instead of a long gong sound of a few seconds.

Applications
Vibradamp A90-P is suitable for sound-baffling sheet metal, such as walls of engine rooms in ships and yachts, ship hull, body (parts), steel stairs and in places where bitumen (such as Vibraflex) cannot or may not be used. The anti-drumming paste can be applied to stainless steel, steel, aluminium, plastic and polyester. In combination with Zincor steel panels, a ‘sandwich layer’ be made for maximum sound-baffling. We recommend this with a thickness of the sheet metal from 4 mm.

Properties
After curing, a viscoelastic layer is created that has the property of damping the resonances in sheet materials (steel, aluminium, plastic). The paste is highly resistant to water, oil, fuels and many solvents and cleaning agents. A bucket Vibradamp A90-P contains 5 kg anti-drumming paste. When sound-baffling together with Zincor steel panels you consume about 1.5 kg of Vibravap Paste per m² and approximately 50 Zincor panels on a 4 mm thick substrate.

Processing tips
Add the B component (supplied bottle) and mix well until an even beige colour is formed. Use a mixing bowl for convenience if necessary. We recommend applying a layer of Vibradamp A90-P to steel that is 2x as thick as the sheet metal. With aluminium and other materials 1x as thick.

Pot life 5 kg mix:

• at 10 °C: approx. 1 hour
• at 20 °C: approx. 30 min
• at 30 °C: approx. 20 min

Curing time:

• above 20 °C: within 24 hours
• between 10-20 °C: approx. 48 hours
• adhesive force: 50 à 60 kg/cm2.

It can take a few days before the paste has fully cured under the Zincor panels, only then will the product provide an excellent end result.
