Composing a Floating Wall, Ceiling, or Floor

Floating wall, ceiling and floor systems
With insulation materials such as Akoestifloor and Merfoflex you can insulate a room against contact and airborne noise. With these systems you can realise a so-called 'box-in-box' principle, which reduces the noise from or to adjacent rooms. The more wall, ceiling, and floor parts you shield with these materials, the more noise you keep inside or out.

Floor insulation
You can use Agglomer Vibration Isolation to insulate the floor. You can use this flake foam product to make floating floors. As such, you can compose your own materials to insulate a floor.

Wall and ceiling insulation
With the help of Merfoflex Intermediate rails you can mount a floating retaining wall and/or ceiling. Merfoflex Intermediate rails are resilient bars that ensure you can mount plasterboards decoupled against an existing wall or ceiling. For example, you can shield a partition wall or ceiling so that there is a reduction in the nuisance of airborne noise in adjacent rooms.
