Anti-drumming and absorption panel
Merfodamp is a combination of soundproofing and noise damping in one product. This product consists of a Vibraflex (3 kg/m²) anti-drumming base with a 25 mm thick noise absorbing foam with an oil and moisture proof protective top layer. Merfodamp is self-adhesive and can be used to insulate light aluminium, plastic and steel equipment and machine housings. This combination saves you a lot of time and gives you two products and solutions in one.

What it is and does:
Merfodamp offers absorption and insulation in one sheet. The product insulates through the sound-baffling bottom layer and absorbs through the sound-absorbing top layer. Due to its composition, Merfodamp has a double effect and is therefore particularly efficient in both application and processing.
Applications
Merfodamp combination board is widely applicable as insulation and absorption material in the following applications, among others:
- Mechanical engineering
Merfodamp is used in the OEM industry for insulating aluminium, plastic and steel housings of, for example, generators, compressors, machines and pumps. - Yacht and Shipbuilding
Insulation for equipment and machine enclosures and to cover fuel- or watertanks in ships and yachts. - Automotive
Merfodamp is also used in the automotive industry, for example for insulating a (slightly curved) bonnet to reduce engine noise. Or as insulation and absorption of the partition in vans.

Assembly Tips
Can be cut to size with a sharp hobby knife. Provide a grease- and dust-free surface. Apply the product at room temperature for easy installation, avoid entrapment of air bubbles. Tape the seams with PU Finishing tape so that oil, moisture and dirt cannot penetrate.
