Merfowrap Leaded
Soundproofing & Insulation for Pipes
Use Merfowrap Leaded for soundproofing and insulating pipes and tubes for rainwater drainage, sewer pipes, down pipes and central vacuum cleaner system. What it is and does
Merfowrap Leaded has been developed for the reduction of sound radiation from, for example, rainwater drainage, sewage pipes and down pipe insulation. In addition to a good soundproofing effect, Merfowrap Leaded also has thermal insulating properties and reduces condensation.
Applications
Merfowrap Leaded pipe insulation is a very flexible sheet, 2 x 1 meter rolled up in box, and is therefore easy to apply around all sorts of pipes, ducts and PVC pipes. Thanks to the lead layer, the sheet does not tend to spring back, Merfowrap Leaded is even somewhat malleable. On our tips page you can find a complete to soundproofing pipes.

- Temperature resistance: -40°C to +100°C.
Product structure
- 2 mm polyethylene top layer.
- 0.35 mm lead core.
- 10 mm polyurethane acoustic foam.
Assembly Tips
Wrap Merfowrap with the black top layer to the outside around a pipe. Use Insulation Tape every 30 cm around the Merfowrap and tape the seams carefully, especially in the curves. The best result is obtained with a double wrapping, do this at least in bends of the pipe. This is where the most noise is produced. On the tips page you find our guide: How to soundproof pipes.
Alternative pipe insulation
Merfowrap Leaded is compared to Merfisol easier to process, but Merfisol (Merfowrap Aluminated) also insulates thermally, because of the aluminum top layer.
