Finish tape for Flamex FC
Flamex FC Tape is a masking tape for sealing and decorating seams and cracks between Flamex FC sound insultion panels. Use this tape in spaces where the temperature does not exceed 60°C. This self-adhevise fiber cloth tape seals the seams between to Flamex FC panels to prevent the instrusion of dirt, oil and moisture in to the acoustic of this sound absorber.

What it is and does:
Flamex FC Tape is a masking tape made of the same material, fiberglass cloth, as the top layer of Flamex FC. This FC tape is intended to give an attractive finish to the seams between two Flamex FC insulation panels. The tape also seals seams and cracks so that no sound leaks occur and no oil, moisture and dirt can penetrate into the underlying acoustic foam.
Applications
FC Tape is only suitable for masking the seams of Flamex FC panels, not for other sound absorbers with a FC top layer. The tape made of butyl rubber and equipped with a fiberglass cloth, so it is also suitable as a sealing tape for closing gaps between ventilation ducts.
Properties
- adhesive: Rubber butyl, absorbs stretch and shrinkage of the substrate.
- Temperature resistance: -30°C to max. 60°C.
- Fire certification: DIN 4102-B2.
- Size: 15 metres long, 48 mm wide, 0.9 mm thick.
Assembly Tips
Apply FC Tape to a dust- and grease-free surface beforehand, at least at room temperature. Do not apply the tape under tension, but apply it gently to the Flamex FC panel and press firmly into the panel, only on flat surfaces. Flamex FC Tape is resistant to a maxium temperature of 60°C, which is lower than the temperature resistance of the product on which you apply the tape. Do not apply tape over engines or other heat sources.
