Polypress Strips

What it is and does:
Polypress strips are used for soundproofing impact noise by isolating vibrations. Polypress strips are made of bonded polyurethane acoustic foam flakes. These strips are flexible and resilient and therefore ideal to use underneath indoor walls and floor.

Applications
Polypress strips are used for decoupling floors (between beams and plywood e.g.). These strips can also be used underneath light party walls to prevent impact noise. In boats and yachts the Polypress strips can be used to be bonded to the rafters (frames) on which the floor or decking rests to decouple the deck or floor from the hull. This will reduce impact noise from the engine thereby soundproofing the galley, wheelhouse and other quarters.

Properties
Polypress is an acoustic foam made from cutting waste that's left over during the manufacturing and processing of foam products. This cutting waste is bound and compressed, resulting in a recycled product. Polypress is compressible and permanently elastic. It also has a good recovery capacity.

Assembly Tips
Polypress strips are easy to cut to size with a sharp knife. Note: the surface on which the Polypress strips are mounted must be dry and free of dirt and grease.  You can also use our contact-adhesive glue to make the non-adhesive side stick to practical anything.
