How much Vibradamp anti-drumming compound do I need?
Cover at least 70% of the surface to effectively soundproof noise and isolate vibrations. This product in combination with Zincor steel panels to obtain the 'sandwich anti-drumming' application. One bucket of Vibradamp A90P is enough to soundproof about 3 m².

What it is and does:
Vibradamp A90P is an anti-drumming paste/compound and a two-component adhesive in one. With this product steel sheets can be bonded to isolate vibrations in steel, aluminium or polyester surfaces, whereby Vibradamp A90P works as a viscoelastic intermediate layer. The end result can be compared to holding a gong while you tap it, a dull sound instead of a long gong-like sound of a few seconds.

Applications
Vibradamp A90P is mostly used for soundproofing metal surfaces in boats, yachts and ships such as walls, hull, transom and stern. This wil reduce propeller and driveshaft vibrations significantly. But also steel structures steel, such as bridges, loading docks and steel staircases can be soundproofed with this sandwich ant-drumming. Vibradamp is a great alternative in places where bitumen anti-drumming cannot or may not be used. The principle of sandwich anti-drumming is the best method to created a maximum anti-drumming effect. We recommend these products to isolate surfaces of 4 mm or thicker.

Properties
After curing, a viscoelastic layer is created that has the property of damping the resonances and vibrations in materials (steel, aluminium, polyester). The paste is highly resistant to water, oil, fuels and many solvents and cleaning agents. A bucket Vibradamp A90-P contains 5 kg anti-drumming paste. Combined with Zincor steel plates you consume about 1.5 kg of Vibradamp Paste per m² and approximately 50 Zincor plates per square meter.

• Heat-resistant: short periods of time: approx. 150 °C.
• Long lasting: approx. 80 °C.
• Adhesion strength: 50 to 60 kg/cm2.
  

Processing tips
Add the B component (supplied in a bottle) and mix well until an even beige colour is formed. Use a mixing bowl for convenience if necessary. Vibradamp and Zincor is applied in a 1:1:4 ratio. 1 mm of Vibradamp with 1 mm Zincor on 4 mm of steel e.g.

Pot life 5 kg mix:

• at 10 °C: approx. 1 hour
• at 20 °C: approx. 30 min
• at 30 °C: approx. 20 min

Curing time:

• above 20 °C: within 24 hours
• between 10-20 °C: approx. 48 hours
• adhesive force: 50 à 60 kg/cm2.
