Sound insulation and absorbers to reduce noise from air ducts
Large air ducts can transport a lot of air, and therefore cause a lot of noise. Unfortunately, round Inno Dampers cannot be used in rectangular air ducts. However, the use of sufficient sound absorbing products inside the air duct can significantly reduce air flow noise, or noise to- and from other spaces.

There is a wide range of noise absorbing products that can be used in air ducts. Open cell absorption materials without a top layer are particularly suitable for this application. We recommend using a sound absorber as thick as possible. Acousticcell is one of those products without a top layer. Excellent sound absorbing properties, easy to cut in the right shape and self-adhesive. For air ducts or ventilation boxes with moist or greasy air you can use Acousticcell PU. This product is equipped with a top layer that avoids the absorbing of moisture, dust or other things that can float in an air duct. Flamex Basic can be used when a more fire resistant material is desired.
