Stratocell Whisper FR

Stratocell Whisper FR is an outdoor acoustic panel that helps to reduce echo and reverberations in (outdoor) spaces that are to damp or to wet to use an acoustic foam, such as gardens, porch, car wash or machine housings for pumps. This product is also extremely suitable for insulating noise in places where a product might get wet, such as a ship’s bilge. Stratocell Whisper FR is resistant to influences of fungi, weather, UV and rot.

What is Stratocell Whisper
Stratocell Whisper FR is a sound-absorbing acoustic panel made of polyethylene (LDPE) and therefor very durable. This plastic material, which is also used to make wheelie bins, is resistant to all weather influences. Stratocell Whisper FR absorbs noise and reduces the radiation of noise to surrounding areas.
Applications
- Outdoor acoustics panel
Stratocell Whisper FR is ideal to use to make closed fence sound-absorbing and to improve the acoustics in a courtyards, garden or playground. You can use this product to absorb external noise such as traffic noise or noise from neighbours in your garden or courtyard. Find more about acoustic fences and outdoor acoustics on our tips pages.
- Machine and equipment housings
Stratocell Whisper FR is also used in pump, generator and machine housings. Stratocell Whisper absorbs noises from machinery and therefore reduces nuisance to others in surrounding areas. The housing of pumps that are (temporarily) located in built-up areas, for example to pump out water, can be effectively insulated with Stratocell Whisper FR.
- Yacht and Shipbuilding
You can also use Stratocell Whisper to insulate damp spaces in the bilge or engine room of ships and yachts. It is better not to use foam materials on the bottom or in the keel because, acoustic foam is not rot-resistant or resistant to moisture. Stratocell Whisper is suitable for use in these types of environments.

Assembly Tips
Because Stratocell Whisper FR retains its shape and light, it is easy to apply with Insulation Pins without the risk of sagging. The product is very easy to cut to size using a knife.
