Merfodamp

What it is and does:
Merfodamp offers soundproofing and sound insulation in one sheet. This product soundproofs because of the anti-drumming sheet as a base and absorbs noise with the 25 mm thick acoustic foam. Due to its composition, Merfodamp has a double solution and is therefore particularly efficient in application, processing and costs.

Applications
Merfodamp soundproof and insulation combination is widely applicable as an insulation and absorbing product in the following applications, among others:

• Mechanical engineering
  Merfodamp is used in the OEM industry for soundproofing aluminium, plastic and steel generator, compressor and pump enclosures.
• Boats, yachts and ships
  Insulation for equipment and machine enclosures and to cover fuel- and water tanks in vessels.
• Automotive
  Merfodamp is also used in the automotive industry, for example for insulating a (slightly curved) bonnet to reduce engine noise.

• Flame-retardant according to UL94-HBF and FMVSS 302.
• Temperature resistance: -30°C to +70°C.
• Self-adhesive.

Assembly Tips
Can be cut to size with a sharp knife. Provide a grease- and dust-free surface. Apply the product at room temperature for easy installation, avoid entrapment of air bubbles. Tape the seams with PU Finishing tape so that oil, moisture and dirt cannot penetrate.
