How much do I need to improve the acoustics?
The rule of thumb applies to spaces such as an office, living room or cafes and restaurants. Example: suppose you have a room with a floor space of 50 m², not much higher than 3 meters, you need about 12 to 20 m² of acoustic panels. In case of Flamex Pyramid panels this is about 50 panels of 600 x 600 mm (18 m²). This should result in a reasonable improving of the acoustics, depending on what else is present in the room, such as curtains and carpeting. What it is and does:
Flamex Pyramid is an acoustic panel made of sound-absorbing melamine foam. The foam has a pyramid pattern (on top of a base layer). It provides better room acoustics by reducing annoying sound reflections and reverberation. Flamex Pyramid has excellent absorption values in the medium and high frequency range due to the pyramid structure.

Applications
Flamex panels with this design are ideal for use in studios, listening rooms and other audio-visual environments where a certain look & feel is desired. The product has fire class C and can therefore also be used in public areas.

Properties

• Absorption class A
• Fire class C, smoke number S2, drip number D0 according to EN - 13501 - 1.
• Decorative studio look.
• Lightweight acoustic foam, 9.5 kg/m³.
• Colour light grey: approximately RAL7047.
• Colour white: approximately RAL9001.

The dimensions and colours
Product number K0109 and K0108 have pyramid dimensions of 50 x 50 x 25 mm, panel size: 600 x 600 x 50 mm.
Product number K0111 has larger pyramid dimensions of 100 x 100 x 50 mm, panel size: 1200 x 600 x 70 mm.
A material tolerance of 2% applies to Flamex products.

Assembly Tips
Flamex pyramid panels are easy to cut to size with a sharp knife and easy to install with our Stauf adhesive. Spread a few dots of Stauf adhesive from the corners towards the center and spread some dots in the middle of the panel. With sufficient adhesive, the panel will bond directly to a ceiling or wall, no struts or clamps are needed.
