Acousticcell
Sound Insulation Foam
Acousticcell is an acoustic sound insulation foam provided with a ribbed texture surface. It is ideal for use in clean and dry environments such as computer or server cabinets, ventilation ducts, electric car and engine and machine enclosure to absorb sound and insulate noise.
More information
Suitable for:
Relative clean and dry equipment and machine casings and enclosures, in environments up to 80 degrees.
Less suitable for:
In situations where the temperature exceeds 80 degrees, use a product with a fiberglass fabric top layer, Flamex FC for example.
Not suitable for:
Room acoustics or public places.

What it is Acousticcell sound insulation
Acousticcell is a sound absorbing acoustic made of polyurethane foam . This specific product features a slightly ribbed texture surface. This increases the surface area, which in turn benefits the absorbing properties of high frequencies. In addition, compared to other products, thinner types can be used without the acoustic effect being reduced. At frequencies over 500 Hz, Acousticcell absorbs 20 to 35% better.
Applications
Acousticcell sound insulation can be used in computer or server cabinets, air handling units, control cabinets, as a roof liner in vehicles (13 mm variant), in air ducts, etc. Due to the top layer, the material also absorbs less dust and dirt. Acousticcell is self-adhesive and therefore easy to apply.

- Acoustic foam density: 25 kg/m³.
- Temperature resistance: -40 °C to approx. 110 °C.
- Easy to cut and customize.
Assembly Tips
Acousticcell is easy to cut to size and shape with a knife or scissors. No special tools are required. It is easy to apply on curved surfaces. The surfaces to be covered must be thoroughly cleaned, and dry, free of dust and grease. After placing, you should press the Acousticcell well to prevent any air bubbles.
Oil and moisture resistant alternatives
If you have an application where there is a chance that the top layer may come into contact with a liquid, such as fuel, oil or dirt, we recommend products with a PU top layer such as Acousticcell PU, Merfocell PU or Flamex PU.
