Basic Room Acoustics Panel
Akotherm Basic D40 is a sound-absorbing and thermal insulating polyester wool product with fire class B - s2, d0. You can use Akotherm to reduce echoes and reverberation in a room by mounting the panels to the ceiling or wall. Akotherm is also used in the production of acoustic panels as a filling This polyester wool sound insulation has an extra high density of 40 kg/m³.

What Akotherm polyester wool is and does
Akotherm Basic D40 is an acoustic panel with straight edges and available in black and white. Akotherm D40 is made of durable polyester fibres. Contact with the polyester fibres does not pose a risk of allergic reactions, skin irritations or respiratory problems. Akotherm does not contain chemical binding agents. In addition, it's non-toxic and 100% recyclable. The high density of 40 kg/m³ ensures excellent acoustic properties and a firm basic acoustic panel.
Applications
Akotherm Basic D40 has a versatile field of application due to its high-quality acoustic properties. Due to its excellent sound-absorbing and thermal insulating properties, it is already widely used in industry and construction, for example as an alternative to glass wool and mineral wool. Akotherm D40 is also extremely suitable for improving the acoustics in offices, classrooms, studios, shops and production hall.

Assembly Tips
Use Stauf Extreme Tack glue to mount Akotherm products. You can easily cut Akotherm to size with a sharp knife. Akotherm is mounted with the soft side against the substrate so the light wave texture side becomes the visible side.
